Professor Mohamed Abdel Azim, President of Mansoura National University, chaired a meeting of the University’s Standing Committee for the Review of Agreements and Cooperation Protocols, attended by committee members, to discuss and evaluate cooperation agreements and protocols concluded with local and international institutions and organizations. The meeting aimed to ensure that such partnerships deliver the maximum possible benefit to the university and its community.
During the meeting, the University President emphasized the importance of complying with all legal and administrative requirements, as well as obtaining the necessary official approvals before entering into any cooperation agreement. He stressed that all agreements should include clearly defined objectives, effective implementation mechanisms, and measurable performance indicators to assess their anticipated impact on the university’s educational, research, training, and community engagement activities.
Professor Mohamed Abdel Azim also directed that periodic reports be prepared to monitor the implementation of cooperation protocols and evaluate the extent to which they achieve their intended objectives. He further emphasized the importance of establishing clear guidelines for training agreements and ensuring that they contribute directly to students’ skills development and preparation for the labor market.
The meeting included a review of several proposed cooperation agreements, including a protocol between the Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura National University and the Faculty of Law at University of Hamburg. Discussions also covered prospective collaboration with the University of Hamburg within the framework of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) funding program entitled “Higher Education Dialogue with the Islamic World.”
In addition, the committee reviewed several cooperation protocols involving the Faculty of Nursing and various organizations, including the Dakahlia Directorate of Health Affairs, the Dakahlia Directorate of Social Solidarity, the Egyptian Nursing Syndicate, as well as a proposed cooperation protocol between Mansoura National University and the General Authority for Healthcare.
The committee also reviewed a proposed cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Medicine and the National Epidemiology Committee, in addition to prospective collaborations with Shoman Company and the Drinking Water Company. Discussions further included a cooperation protocol between the PharmD Program at the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Center for Training and Excellence, as well as a proposed partnership with Machinfy Academy, which specializes in artificial intelligence and data analytics.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Mohamed Abdel Azim reaffirmed the importance of expanding effective partnerships that contribute to the advancement of education and research while creating broader opportunities for student training and professional development, in alignment with the university’s vision and developmental objectives.
