President of Mansoura National University Discusses the Development of International Certification and Assessment Systems
Professor Mohamed Abdel Azim, President of Mansoura National University, and Professor Walid Raslan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, convened a meeting to discuss the development of the university’s international examinations and certification system as part of its strategic efforts to enhance academic quality and advance the educational process in alignment with international standards.
The meeting addressed mechanisms for strengthening cooperation with international institutions responsible for granting certifications and accreditations, in addition to initiating the procedures necessary to obtain the required licenses. These efforts aim to reinforce the university’s global academic presence and create broader opportunities for students and graduates alike.
Discussions also emphasized the importance of establishing effective partnerships with international organizations and creating a unified center for international certifications and accreditations to support students, researchers, and academic staff across various disciplines.
Professor Mohamed Abdel Azim stressed the importance of providing the necessary infrastructure, specialized training programs, and qualification pathways for international examinations, alongside the establishment of accredited laboratories for conducting computer-based assessments on campus. He also highlighted the need to establish a specialized studio for the professional production of academic and educational content in line with the continuing advancements in digital education.
He further noted that internationally recognized certifications will become one of the key criteria in the selection and appointment of teaching assistants and junior academic staff. The university will also offer specialized preparation programs to qualify students for international competitions, in addition to providing incentive-based support for outstanding achievers. These initiatives reflect the university’s commitment to preparing highly qualified graduates capable of competing effectively at both the national and international levels
